Daria Werbowy, Kate Moss and some other hot chick (okay, Lara Stone) naked in a bed together…with fabulous hair to boot?  A fantasy that both men and women can get behind!  I cannot express to you how much I covet Kate Moss’s bangs and casual waves here.  Coaxing my cowlick-y frizz into beach babe perfection is something of a Jolie obsession, and considering how messy this style looks (and is supposed to look!) you wouldn’t believe how much flipping effort it takes.  My best method for waves after the jump:

I could have a million dollars, a full-time stylist, and Anna Wintour on my speed-dial and I still wouldn’t possess a tenth of the innate style of California-born, Paris-dwelling fashion designer Ashley Ashoff.  Her sartorial sense has charmed everybody from Jean-Paul Gaultier to Bruce Willis, and she counts Kirsten Dunst as a fan of her mouth-wateringly beautiful scarves, which have been featured in Teen Vogue, Nylon, Daily Candy and New York Magazine.  (She was also proposed marriage to about forty-three times after The Sartorialist posted her picture online.)  All of her confections–scarves and ties alike–are divine, although I’m particularly obsessed with her Billet-Doux line.  Ashley’s unique, whimsical style has turned her into a fast-rising star, so I quizzed her on the beauty products she uses to keep herself looking oh-so-chic.

SKINCARE: “SkinCeuticals is the only brand I have found that works for my skin, which is extremely sensitive with many allergies.  The Correct line has great serums and I use their cleansers, tonics and lotions–the Clarifying Clay Mask is wonderful, too!  Also an amazing product for the skin is Darphin Intral Baume. It’s great for people with sensitive skin and I try to use it a couple times a week. I put it on at night before I go to sleep. It’s really heavy and oily but by morning it’s absorbed and your skin is like a baby’s bottom!  It makes your skin glow–I love this stuff.”

HAIR:  ”Once a week, I do a hammam–aka steam room–and use 100% jojoba oil for my hair, which has done wonders after dying it back to my natural color. (more…)

I stumbled upon this British list of cult beauty classics while doing (gasp!) actual work, and just had to share. Some products are obsession-worthy in the US, too, like Terax Crema, John Frieda Frizz-Ease and Jo Malone Vitamin E gel, but others (like the Ruby and Millie Lip Gloss and the Marks and Spencer Shavata Brow Perfection kit) I’d actually never heard of. I am suffering from a severe affliction; we’ll call it Kob-itis.  You see, I cannot get enough of Katie Holmes’ Pob (Posh bob, bien sur), which she has so thoroughly made her own that I now consider it a Kob (Katie bob).  Here she is yesterday at the LA premiere of Mad Money, Tom dangling goofily from her arm, hair shining like nobody’s business.  (Spray gloss works wonders!  Bumble and bumble Bb. shine is one of my favorites because it doesn’t weigh your hair down or leave it greasy; in general, I prefer shine sprays to serums for this very reason.)  Who would have ever predicted just a few short years ago that Katie would become the star and Tom’d be the appendage?  Not I, my dears, not I.
