Fashion Week Makeup Trends
Fashion Week bores me, for the most part, but occasionally I’ll click over to Style.com to divert myself with all the pretty backstage close-ups of the models’ hair and makeup. It’s particularly interesting looking at photos of the same models, to see how their looks vary from show to show. Hair and makeup, you see, really does make all the difference! (Okay, good genes help, too.)

Jessica Stam getting glammified (gold eyes are a huge trend for spring!) backstage at Oscar de la Renta…and at Derek Lam…and Marc Jacobs

Could you please explain the Agnes phenomenon? She’s alright, but I don’t see what the big deal is. I think the other two models here are just as beautiful, if not more so. And does she look a little orange in the second photo from the Michael Kors show?

Yeeeaah, why all the hype with Agyness Deyn? Totally don’t understand it!
Although the other models don’t do it for me, either….

that huge line on isabella’s face in the second picture really bothers me…

Wow- I’m shocked at how terrible Agy’s skin is. Love Isabeli at Michael Kors!

I don’t get Agyness, either!
Also, I need mad makeup lessons. Nadine, tell us what you do every morning so I can be inspired! My knockoff Bare Minerals isn’t cutting it!

Ladies, I confess…I don’t understand Agyness Deyn’s appeal AT ALL. Agy’s terrible skin and Isabeli’s facial lines show that good genes really will take you so far, but that you must maintain your skin through health and a proper regimen! All the makeup in the world caked on so-so skin will look awful up close.

I don’t get the Agyness hype either. And her skin does look terrible here. I have seen her in person in NY and she just looks boyish…not great at all.
