The latest beauty brand I’m completely smitted with is Fenix Cosmetics, a cosmeceutical line sold at spas and dermatologist offices. The offerings are specifically designed for women with problematic complexions—rosacea, acne, sensitive-skin and the like—and it’s hard to pick just one favorite, although I’m partial to the Green Tea Toner. In general, I think toners are a crock of BS–mostly just marketing tools preying on our nearly-universal desire to get skin as…clean…as…possible. The Green Tea Toner isn’t so much a toner, however, as an antioxidant boosting treatment you can use after cleanser and before moisturizer. Other must-check out products? White Tea Hydrating Lotion for body (with neroli, jasmine, citrus and bergamot–it smells divine!), Intensive Recovery Serum (excellent for redness-prone skin that needs extra protection from the elements and aging), and Rehydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 (a broad-spectrum lotion that provides beach-level protection while still sinking into skin quickly and deeply enough to avoid that nasty oily film that comes with so many other sunscreens).
